Star Wars: Destiny Learn to Play Event

  • Giant Eagle Market District 100 Settlers Ridge Center Drive McKees Rocks, PA, 15136 United States (map)

The Empire is at War and we need pilots to roll to their Destiny!

Western PA Gaming is introducing another event for our members and their families to enjoy.  I don’t have as much time for board gaming as I would like so I introduced this game to my family and they love it.  The Star Wars universe, cool cards, rolling dice, and games that only take 30 minutes to play.  It is a great way to get some gaming in with the family that doesn’t require hours of commitment.

This learn to play events will offer how to play, deck building tips, and the opportunity to build your first tourney deck.

I will have a few of my decks available to borrow if you would like to learn how to play the game before committing to purchasing.

Fantasy Flight Games just recently introduced a 2-player game box which gives two 20-card starter decks where opponents can square in an epic battle of Hero vs. Villain.  This game can be purchased at one of our sponsors Drawbridge Games or even at your local Target for $30.

Booster Packs add five new cards to your collection that include a rare or legendary card/dice to accompany it for $3 each.

If you would like to jump in head first I will make some preconstructed decks based on the characters and cards from the starter decks.  You can have your choice of hero or villain, complete with a 30-card premade deck competitive deck with character and upgrade dice and completely sleeved for protection.  If you are interested in getting one of these premade decks I'll make one up for you for $20 each.

Another option is to purchase one or two of the 2-player games and then you can assemble a couple of highly competitive hero and villain decks and bring them with you.  I will have extra cards/dice from my collection available to round out your deck if you don't have enough cards and boosters available for a modest price.

Here is a great article on 4 strategies on how to get into Star Wars: Destiny...
